Committee for Students with Disabilities

Act CCIV of 2011 on national higher education and Government Decree 87/2015 (IV.9.) on the implementation of certain provisions of the national higher education act provide for the procedure for the determination and certification of disability and for the principles concerning the studies of students with disabilities.

Accordingly, the University has drawn up a regulation (Annex 8 of the Academic and Exam Regulation, Student Requirement System, Volume III of the Organisational and Operational Rules) in order to ensure equal opportunities for students living with disabilities.

The institution has a Committee for Students with Disabilities which contributes to equal opportunities in university life by providing a forum for opinions, suggestions and strategies at university and faculty level. The committee examines the students’ requests for exemptions and preferences, and grants personal and technical assistance for them. One of the members of the Committee acts as the institutional coordinator and is also the Chairperson of the Committee.
