The University Sport Office and the Károli Students Sports Circle offer several sports activities. Students are welcome to join the excellent KRE Főnixek (Phoenixes) football, handball, volleyball, basketball or water polo teams during the study term. Our sportsmen can take part in inter-university competitions and even may put together their own team for the local fall and summer sports days, tournaments and championships.

Sports at the university

Basketball
1. Since 2014 our students can join our women’s and men’s basketball teams. In addition to regular training opportunities, our sportsmen may compare their strengths with other teams in the university league.

Beach Handball and Beach Volleyball
1. After the successful exams you may enjoy the pleasures of sports and sunshine in the summer holiday, and can train for the championship.

Floorball
1. What can you do if there is no ice but you still want to play ice hockey? Join our floorball team!

Football
1. Our university’s football team has the longest history and can be rightly proud of its achievements.

Handball
1. The men’s and women’s handball teams of the university have successfully participated in the Budapest University/College Handball Championships since 2012.

Volleyball
1. In October 2014 the volleyball team took over its new courts in the renovated building of the university in Dózsa György street. Besides the women’s team there are mixed teams, too. In 2018 our volleyball team won the Budapest University Championship.

Water polo
1. Our university is one of the few higher education institutions having its own water polo team. Trainings are provided at a weekly basis.
