Our University will hold Energy Sustainability Week from 8 to 12 September, 2025, during which various programmes will focus on future energy issues.
The Energy Sustainably Week will start with an inspiring presentation and a roundtable discussion on 10 September. At the event, Prof. Dr. Róbert Szuchy, Vice-Rector for Education and Prof. Dr. István Szabó Vice-Rector for Religion and Spirituality will engage in a thought-provoking conversation on the future of energy, the responsibility of sustainability and the current challenges of protecting creation. The central event of the programme series is the 2025 Congress of the European Federation of Energy Law Associations (EFELA) on 11-12 September, which will be held this year at the Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary, in the Károlyi-Csekonics Palace. The event is held annually in a different country, and the Budapest event will be one of the most significant energy law events in Hungary.
The congress will discuss topics that are relevant to both the present and the future, with the participation of distinguished international experts. The conference, titled Clean Energy and AI, will focus on the most up-to-date issues in international energy law and energy policy. Among the participants at the event will be representatives of the Hungarian government, including the Ministry of Energy, international energy experts, judges and leading academics of law. Dr. Csaba Gondola, State Secretary for Circular Economy and Climate Policy will represent the Ministry of Energy at the international event.
