Moroccan students' study trip at Károli Gáspár University
With the support of the Embassy of Hungary in Rabat, five young Moroccans visited Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary between 2 and 5 April. A special feature of the study trip was that it was initiated by the young Moroccans themselves. As members of the Youth Diplomacy Network Association, they chose Hungary - a country little known to young people in North Africa - as the destination of their study trip. Although the Moroccan young people arrived in Budapest in the early hours of April 2, they attended seminars by László Joachim, Ádám Bethlenfalvy and Irén Lovász at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences from the morning on the same day, followed by a tour of Budapest. The next day, the group was received by István Jakab, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, and attended Peter Wagner’s course along with Károli students majoring in International Relations. After the session, Rector Trócsányi invited the students for an informal lunch meeting. Finally, on Friday, the Moroccan students visited the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Budapest and attended Ferenc Szávai’s seminar on 20th-century Hungarian history. During their short but intensive stay, the group had the opportunity to meet students from our University on several occasions.
