Prof. Dr. László Trócsányi is Nominated as Rector by the Presidium of the General Synod of the Reformed Church in Hungary

The Reformed Church in Hungary (RCH) is initiating the procedure for the appointment of Prof. Dr. László Trócsányi as Rector of Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary with the President of Hungary.

On 5th January 2022, in accordance with the proposal of RCH and Bishop Balog, Ministerial President of the General Synod of the RCH, the Senate of the University supported the decision to nominate Prof. Dr. László Trócsányi as University Rector for a period of five years starting on 1st February 2022.

Prof. Trócsányi is full research professor at the Department of Constitutional Law, Faculty of Law, Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary. His formerly held positions include Judge of the Constitutional Court, Minister of Justice, and Ambassador of Hungary to France, Belgium and Luxembourg. He also serves as a Member of the European Parliament, the President of the National Board Against Counterfeiting, the President of the Hungarian Lawyers Association and the Honorary President of the Ferenc Mádl Institute of Comparative Law.
