Inauguration of Prof. Dr. László Trócsányi

Prof. Dr. László Trócsányi, Rector of the Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary was inaugurated on 19 February at 3 p.m. as part of a solemn worship service. The ceremony took place in the church of the Budapest-Budahegyvidék Reformed Parish.

The inauguration ceremony began with a service in which Bishop Zoltán Balog, Ministerial President of the General Synod of the Reformed Church in Hungary, preached his word. The new rector was greeted by Gergely Gulyás, Minister of the Prime Minister's Office, and Bishop István Bogárdi Szabó.

Prof. Dr. László Trócsányi emphasised in his speech that divine grace is needed in addition to human power to carry out plans. The speech was concluded with the lines of Psalms 25, 4-6: “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old.”
