Prof. István Géher (1940-2012) and Prof. Géza Kállay (1959-2017) were distinguished professors and researchers at the English-American Institute of ELTE. They both taught at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary as well. They have left a rich intellectual legacy to their colleagues, students and readers alike.
ELTE's Institute of English-American Studies and the Institute of English Studies at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary organized a joint conference on the works and their impact of the two professors. The conference took place on 30 September and 1 October 2022, in the hope that the tradition-building event can be repeated every five years in the future.
