XXIV Law Doctoral Conference

On 27 January 2023 the Doctoral School of Law and Political Sciences of Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary held a Doctoral Students' Meeting organized by Prof. Dr. Éva Jakab, Professor and Head of the Doctoral School. The meeting was held in the Károlyi-Csekonics Palace. The event began with a plenary presentation by Dr. Gergely Rideg titled: The legal framework, opportunities and dead ends of the use of artificial intelligence for business purposes. Afterwards, doctoral students had the opportunity to present their latest research results. 36 PhD students from the Károli Gáspár University’ Doctoral School attended the conference.

Prof. Dr. Éva Jakab opened the conference, then highlighted the great interest, which is an undeniable proof of the high quality of the scientific work carried out at the Faculty, the opportunities for research and the support of young talents. In his opening speech, Deputy Dean Prof. Dr. Olivér Árpád Homicskó, emphasized the gratitude of the Faculty of Law for the support of the Ministry of Justice, that aimed at raising the quality of legal education.

The presentations were held in the sections of Political Sciences, Civil Sciences, Criminal Sciences, Legal Theory and History, Labour and Social Law, which were chaired by Prof. Dr. Ádám Rixer, Prof. Dr. Ádám Boóc, Prof. Dr. Andrea Domokos, Prof. Dr. István Stipta and Prof. Dr. Árpád Olivér Homicskó. The session leaders aimed to provide professional assistance to the students. We thank them for their work and support.

The Ministry of Justice made possible to publish a summary edition through grant IX-SZ/ID/410/2022. We thank the Ministry of Justice for its support over the years, which has provided regular publication opportunities for researchers at the beginning of their academic careers.
