International Graduation Ceremony

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences held a graduation ceremony for international students at our university on 28 June in the Cigar Room of the Károlyi-Csekonics Palace. During the event, diplomas were awarded to fourteen students, including three Egyptians, three Hungarians, two Kosovars, one American, one Pakistani, one Montenegrin, one Kenyan, one Syrian, and one Kazakh citizen.

Among the graduates, one completed an MA in History, and thirteen completed a BA in English and Psychology at our institution. The ceremony featured an opening prayer by Borbála Mikola, the university chaplain, and speeches by Péter Furkó, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation; Géza Horváth, Dean of the Faculty; Zsuzsanna Kövi, Head of the Institute of Psychology; Csaba Hidán, Associate Professor of the Institute of History; and Gábor Szalai, Head of the International Relations Office. The event was moderated by Judit Nagy, Vice-Dean for International Affairs.

After the devotions and formal greetings, a photo session and a reception were held in honor of the new graduates. International students have been studying at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences since 2016, with a total of 30 graduates from 14 countries around the world. Some of these graduates continue to live in Hungary and other parts of Europe.
