On October 29, 2025, a five-member delegation from Beijing Normal University visited our university: Prof. WANG Shoujun, Executive Vice President, Prof. CAI Hongbo, Deputy Dean, Belt and Road School, Director of Financial Office, Prof. ZHONG Jiayong, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Prof. BIE Rongfang, Director, Center of Information and Network Technology, and GUO Kanjun, Director, Zhuhai Campus International Office.
The guests were received by Prof. Dr. Péter Balla, Vice Rector for International Relations, Dr. Gábor Szalai, Head of the International Office, Dr. Judit Nagy, Vice Dean for International Relations, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Dr. Viktória Váradi, Assistant Professor, Chinese Department, Institute of East Asian Studies, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Founded in 1902, Beijing Normal University is one of China's oldest institutions of higher education. The institution, whose two campuses are located in Beijing and Zhuhai with approximately 40,000 students and 3,000-4,000 faculty members, focuses primarily on teacher training and is ranked in the 100-150 range on the world ranking list for higher education. Prof. Dr. László Trócsányi Rector visited the institution on October 26, 2023.
The main topics of discussion were student exchange between the two institutions and the promotion of joint research projects (e.g. in the field of artificial intelligence).
