At the beginning of the new academic year, Károli Gáspár University organised an Orientation Week for nearly 300 international students arriving from 26 countries. The programme was designed to help newcomers get to know the University, one another and Budapest, while starting their studies at Károli with useful information and shared experiences.
As part of Orientation Week, Prof. Dr. László Trócsányi, Rector of Károli Gáspár University, personally welcomed the international students. In his address, he welcomed them to the Károli community and encouraged them to make the most of the opportunities offered by university life, meet as many people as possible and discover their new home, Budapest.
Throughout the week, participants also had the opportunity to get to know the University and one another through fun and interactive activities. During a quiz, they could test their knowledge of Károli, Hungary and Budapest while enjoying a friendly competition.
Exploring the city was naturally also part of the programme, while sports and spending time together also played an important role. One of the most active events of the week brought students together for a sports activity in Városliget.
A wide range of further events and community activities awaits our international students throughout the academic year. The next major event will be the University Sports Day at the end of September, where students will once again have the opportunity to get active, cheer each other on and strengthen the Károli international community.
We warmly welcome our new international students to Károli and wish them a successful and memorable time at the university!
