The official inauguration of the brand new building of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences took place on 1 September 2020.
The building, known as the “Károlyi-Csekonics Palace”, was donated to the university by the Government of Hungary for educational purposes. The magnificent late 19th century building was fully renovated and, while keeping its original ornaments, transformed into a state-of-the-art campus. The building is directly attached to the old campus building of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences thus providing a convenient connection for professors, staff and students. The new campus building may accommodate up to 900 students so it greatly enhances the training capacities of our biggest faculty.
