The opening ceremony of the academic year 2020/2021 took place on 7 September 2020 in the Reformed Church „Hálaadás” in Budapest, amidst safety regulations related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following Bishop István Szabó’s homily, Acting Rector Dr Ágnes Czine greeted the audience and officially opened the new academic year. After the awards ceremony for distinguished professors and students, the representatives of the freshmen took their university oath. Thanks to the increasing popularity of our university and to the enlargement of the Faculty of Teacher Training with a campus in the city of Kecskemét, the total number of our students now exceeds 8,200.
