Irish Ambassador Ronan Gargan visited the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences on 19 October 2022. He first consulted with Dr. habil. Géza Horváth, Dean for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and then with Dr. Judit Nagy, Vice-Dean for International Affairs at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. He then opened the 'International Joyce' exhibition in the Dózsa György Út building.
After the opening, he gave a talk on James Joyce, Ulysses, and the Politics of early 20th-century Ireland. The audience was invited to watch the documentary '100 Years of Ulysses'. He also met students of the Irish language course at the University.
