On October 2, 2024, Mózes Csoma, the newly appointed Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, welcomed Mr. Lee Sung Wook, the Director of International Affairs at Kookmin University in South Korea. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways to enhance the partnership between the two universities, with the initial focus on exploring student exchange programs.
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences established its Korean Department in 2023. By September 2024, the faculty had launched a Korean specialization within its Oriental Studies undergraduate program, with more than 40 students enrolling.
During his visit, Mr. Lee also met with Dr. Gábor Szalai, Head of the International Relations Office, and toured the Károlyi-Csekonics palace campus with a guided visit led by Virág Zombory.
