Delegation from the Dar al-Kalima University in Palestine

On 30th September 2024, a delegation from Dar al-Kalima University in Palestine was received by the leadership of our university at the Károlyi-Csekonics Palace.

Her Exc. Amira Hanania, Committee member & Representative to Europe, Higher Presidential Committee of Churches affairs in Palestine, Rev. Prof. Dr. Mitri Raheb, Founder and President of Dar al-Kalima University and Fr. Dr. Fadi Diab were received by Prof. Dr. László Trócsányi, Rector, Prof. Dr. Péter Balla, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Mr. András Gér, General Secretary of the Synod of the Reformed Church in Hungary and Dr. Gábor Szalai, Head of the International Relations Office at the Károlyi-Csekonics Palace, Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary.

The purpose of the visit was to establish joint professional (student and academic) cooperation with Dar al-Kalima University – founded in 2006, located in Betlehem, with four faculties and with a special emphasis on protestant values –, to explore scholarships available for Palestinian students, and to discuss the possibility of joint research and a joint conference on the topic of the relationship between church and state. The strategic goal of our university is to support Christian communities in Palestine.
