EFELA Annual Congress 2025 in Budapest

On 11–12 September 2025, the EFELA Annual Congress — “Clean Energy and AI Conference” — was held at the Károlyi-Csekonics Palace in Budapest, co-organized with Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church. The event gathered leading European experts, academics, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss the most pressing issues at the intersection of energy law, sustainability, and artificial intelligence.

The main thematic areas included:

  • EU sustainable energy strategies
  • The green transition in the EU
  • AI-driven innovations in the energy sector
  • Environmental transparency and competition law

The congress was honoured by the presence of Dr. Csaba Gondola, State Secretary at the Ministry of Energy, and Dr. Zoltán Csehi, Judge at the General Court of the European Union. Special appreciation is also extended to distinguished colleagues and thought leaders such as Marinella De Focatiis, Vicente López-Ibor Mayor, and Professor Peter Cameron, together with all other speakers and participants who enriched the two-day programme.

The EFELA Annual Congress 2025 once again highlighted the importance of academic, professional, and policy dialogue in shaping Europe’s clean energy transition.
