Ambassador of Indonesia Visits Károli

On 5 October 2026, Károli Gáspár University welcomed H.E. Penny Dewi Herasati, Ambassador of Indonesia to Hungary.

The Ambassador met with Prof. Dr. László Trócsányi, Rector of Károli, with discussions focusing on higher education cooperation between Hungary and Indonesia and opportunities for further developing these ties. She then gave a presentation in English for Károli students on Indonesia and international relations. This was followed by a Q&A session, giving students the opportunity to ask questions about diplomacy and international relations. The programme also offered a taste of Indonesian culture, as the Indonesian guests brought traditional Indonesian food and special gift bags for the students.

The visit forms part of Károli’s efforts to expand its international partnerships, with a particular focus on strengthening cooperation with partners across Asia. The University aims to further develop its relations with higher education institutions and diplomatic representatives in the region and create new opportunities for its students and academic community.

We would like to thank H.E. Penny Dewi Herasati and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Budapest for the visit and for the valuable and friendly exchange.
