On 6 October 2026, Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary and Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania signed a cooperation agreement as part of the 7th Leisure Scientific Conference. The agreement was signed by the rectors of the two institutions, László Trócsányi and Márton Tonk, in the Ballroom of the Károlyi–Csekonics Palace.
Prior to the signing of the bilateral agreement, Rector László Trócsányi and Dr Péter Fritz, Associate Professor and Head of Károli’s Institute of Lifestyle and Body Culture, welcomed the delegation of Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania.
The cooperation agreement builds on the professional collaboration between Károli’s Institute of Lifestyle and Body Culture and Sapientia, which began more than a year ago. Within this framework, the two institutions will develop professional ties, facilitate academic and student mobility, and launch joint research projects. Sapientia also participates in the Leisure conference series.
The signing provides an institutional framework for an already well-established cooperation and paves the way for further joint professional, educational and scientific research programmes.
