For the fourth time, students of our university took to the stage on the occasion of the KREaktív Talent Search Competition. On 19 October, as the opening event of the Károli Community Days, the participants showcased their talents at the Hungarian Theatre. Our international students performed brilliantly, winning in several categories and demonstrating the diversity and outstanding talent of Károli’s international student community. This year, all five faculties of the institution were represented at the event, and following the preliminary judging, 29 performances advanced to the final.
The 4th KREaktív Talent Search Competition is not merely an event serving as a platform for presenting numerous high-quality, sometimes tear-jerking performances, but also a true community occasion where students from different faculties could get to know one another, cheer each other on, and perhaps even make new friends. The event was opened by Rector László Trócsányi, who stated in his welcome speech that we all take part in the theatre called life, and that, as university students, one of the important roles in a person's life is played. The Rector emphasised that the Károli Community Days and the KREaktív Talent Search Competition provide a good opportunity for us to step outside the classroom and become part of a different kind of social life, one that is more than learning, where we can experience our belonging to one another and to the community in a different way.
Representing the Hungarian Theatre, Production Director Miklós Rázga welcomed the contestants and the university community.
Actor József Wunderlich, chairman of the jury, said during the announcement of the results that the jury had a very difficult task, as there were not only many performers, but they were also talented, diverse and varied. On behalf of the jury, he thanked everyone for all the beauty, delicacy, sensitivity and talent they had been able to hear and see that day.
