We are happy to announce that exchange students can register for the 2021/22 Spring semester! Students can finalize their applications until 15 Dec by following 3 easy steps listed on our website.
This is your application surface if you are a(n) Erasmus+, Erasmus International Credit Mobility (ICM), Regular Exchange Programme (e.g. South Korea, USA), EMLEX, ASEM DUO, CEEPUS, University of New Hampshire, Calvin College or Makovecz student.
If you are a Stipendium Hungaricum, Scholarship for Christian Young People, Károli Christian Scholarship or Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship student, please follow the instructions on the scholarship’s website.
COVID information
The 2021/22 Spring semester is planned to be carried out with personal attendance in accordance with the strict safety measures, therefore, KRE is not planning to organise and receive students with virtual mobility. For up-to-date regulations, please check out the relevant English website. Please note, that depending on the national regulations, this decision can be changed, and the decision can affect the available courses. International students will have access to Microsoft Teams, which is the platform for communication in case the regulations make online teaching necessary.
Application process
To receive a final acceptance from us, you need to follow the application procedure described below and on our website.
To finalize your application, please, fill in the registration form. By filling in the survey, you also agree/deny application for accommodation!
Application deadline is 15 Dec 2021 for the 2021/22 Spring semester.
Orientation Week
Orientation Week for incoming students is obligatory and will be held from 7–11 February 2022. This means that the arrival date should not be later than 6 February. The detailed program of the Orientation Week will be sent out a few weeks before February.
Housing/accommodation
There are two dormitories you can apply for: Óbuda Student Hostel and Bethlen Gábor Dormitory. Please click here to read about them. You can also find information about where to look for accommodation individually.
How to apply?
Your denial or approval to apply to dormitory is recorded in the application form.
When will I know the result of the dormitory application?
The latest we will inform you about the results is one month before the semester starts, but we will do it as soon as possible. We are going to inform everyone, also those who did not get a place.
Important! As the number of places are limited, there is a first-come-first-served (FCFS) system and we cannot guarantee a place for everyone.
Please note that KRE is authorised to handle your reservation and place you in a different dormitory not matching your preferences. Furthermore, we reserve the right to reject applications after the dormitory is full.
