A delegation from the Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) was received by Rector László Trócsányi and the university's management on 20 November at the Károlyi-Csekonics Palace.
The Chinese university delegation included Vice President Jia Dezhong, Dean of the School of European Languages and Cultures Ke Jing, executive Dean of School of Chinese Studies Li Jiansheng, and Deputy Director of the National Research Center for Foreign Language Education Han Baocheng, deputy director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office Li Maolin, Program Officer of the Office of Confucius Institute Liu Xiaochen, and Hu Zhipeng, and Guo Xiaojing, Director of the Hungarian Research Centre for Linguistics.
On 27 October 2023, Rector László Trócsányi, accompanied by Head of the Chinese Department Ákos Bertalan Apatóczky, paid a preventive visit to Beijing, during which possible professional cooperation between the two universities was discussed. The visit to Hungary took place at the invitation of the Rector and was a follow-up of the previously agreed topics. At the beginning of the visit, our university's students and lecturers from the Chinese Studies had the opportunity to get to know the members of the delegation and the Beijing Foreign Studies University in an informal discussion.
Among the leaders of our University, Péter Furkó, Vice Rector for Science and Research, Róbert Szuchy, Vice Rector for Education, Géza Horváth, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Zoltán Tóth J., Dean of the Faculty of Law, Ádám Boóc, Vice Dean for International and Academic Affairs and Gábor Szalai, International Director, participated in the visit. Ákos Bertalan Apatóczky, Head of the Department of Chinese Studies, and Ildikó Schmidt, Adjunct Professor in the Department of Hungarian Linguistics, also assisted in the reception of the delegation and in the professional discussions.
