On July 4, 2017, the Rector of our University, Prof. Dr. Péter Balla, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chancellor of Kyoto University of Foreign Studies Dr. Yoshikazu Morita, who was accompanied on his visit to Hungary by Prof. Toshiki Kumagai, Vice President of the university and Prof. Masayoshi Hashimoto, Director of Educational Affairs.

Károli’s success in ice hockey

First time after 5 years the Hungarian Ice Hockey University and College National Championship was held again this April where 6 universities, including our university’s team, took the field for the championship title. At the end of the Championship the bronze medal was won by the Károli team.

First ever flashmob by Károli students

100 students from all the four faculties of our university participated in the first ever Károli flashmob that took place in front of the Rector’s Office on Kálvin Square on the 3rd of April. The event, that attracted lots of passers-by, was organised in the framework of the Károli Community Days.

Dutch partner institute VIAA visits Károli

A delegation of 10 students and 2 scholars from our Dutch partner institute, VIAA University visited Károli Gáspár University on 28 March. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for our guests to get acquainted with the work and education provided by the Faculty of Theology and the Faculty of Humanities. The group also visited the Rector’s Office where they listened to an introductory presentation about our university.
