In the last week of March 2026, Dóra Pődör (Institute of English Studies) represented Károli University in Chile at the annual conference of the European Master in Lexicography (EMLex) joint degree programme, titled EMLex Colloquium – Lexicography, Teaching and Language Technology, as well as at the programme’s semi-annual consortium meeting.

Japan’s newly appointed Ambassador to Hungary paid a visit to our university

On the 3rd of March, His Excellency Tetsuya Kimura, the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Hungary, paid an introductory visit to our university. Ambassador Kimura and his delegation were welcomed by Rector László Trócsányi; Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Mózes Csoma; Vice-Dean for International Affairs, Judit Nagy; and International Communications Officer Tamara Judi. The Ambassador was accompanied by First Secretary Takeshi Ozaki, Head of the Cultural and Press Department of the Embassy of Japan, and Attaché Natsuki Shinogi, Advisor to the Political Department. During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their intention to continue their previously fruitful professional cooperation.
