On May 22, 2023, Dr. Yuanyuan Gong, Ph.D. and Prof. Carmen Tamas visited our university. The purpose of the visit is to promote academic relations and student, staff mobility between the two institutions.

International Relations at KRE

KRE is strengthening partnerships by hosting international guests at the university. German professors visited the university for two days beginning on 27 April. The aim of the meeting was to lay the foundations for long-term academic cooperation between the two universities. Later, on May 4 His Excellency Ronan Gargan, Ambassador of Ireland to Hungary and Marianna Joó Szegedi, Cultural Attaché visited the Károlyi-Csekonics Palace to discuss further expansion of the University's international relations, in particular the possibilities for cooperation with various universities in Ireland.

The current malaise of the European and Western thinking is the lack of intellectual humility one must owe to its own civilizational heritage – Lénárd Sándor emphasized in an international conference of the International Law and Liberty Society in Nointel, France whereby he was entrusted by the International Law and Liberty Society to found and operate the Law and Liberty Circle in Hungary.

Exploring the University in April and May

Several faculties of the University had various programs in April. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Economics, Health Sciences and Social Studies and the Faculty of Law held conferences and talks.

International Symposium on Practical Theology

The Lutheran Theological University (EHE) and the Faculty of Theology of Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary (KRE) have been involved in a European research project on practical theological confirmation for several years. This year, the research team will hold its consultation in Budapest, and on this occasion, we will organise an ecumenical symposium in which practical theologians can meet, learn about each other's work and organise opportunities for cooperation.

Charity collection for mothers’ home

On the 18th of May the PR and Marketing Section of Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary visited the Lorántffy Zsuzsanna Mothers’ Home in the city of Miskolc to hand out the donations collected by the community of our university within the framework of the Reformed Volunteer Days of the Carpathian Basin.

Károli’s success in ice hockey

First time after 5 years the Hungarian Ice Hockey University and College National Championship was held again this April where 6 universities, including our university’s team, took the field for the championship title. At the end of the Championship the bronze medal was won by the Károli team.
