We would like to call your attention to an approaching conference with worldwide participants that commemorates the 75^th anniversary of the adoption of the UDHR.

The Orientation Day for the 2023/24 Fall semester took place on 4 September 2023. The students received a welcome pack after registering and were warmly welcomed by Rector Prof. Dr. László Trócsányi. The Rector started his speech with the university’s motto: “Károli. Community. Quality.” He emphasized the importance of the community and encouraged the students to be active in events and meet new people. To support the new international students’ community, he offered assistance. He invited his colleague from the Sports Office to spread news about Károli’s sport events. International students can participate in sports free of charge. After the Rector’s welcome, Dr. Gábor Szalai, Director of International Relations introduced the Erasmus coordinators from the faculties.

Prof. Dr. Róbert Szuchy, Vice-Rector of Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Chuch in Hungaray, participated today (25/09/2022) in the opening ceremony of the external training of the Faculty of Pedagogy of Károli Gáspár University in Marosvásárhely (Târgu Mures), where teacher training is taught in Hungarian. The ceremony took place in the Castle Church.

We are proud to announce that our CEEPUS Institutional Coordinator, Ms. Virág Zombory was given the “Coordinator Award” at the National Meeting of International Coordinators held from June 29^th to July 1st, 2022, in Pécs. The event was organized by Tempus Public Foundation and was attended by 153 employees of 45 domestic higher education institutions dealing with the Erasmus+ and CEEPUS programs. The conference provided many opportunities for the formal and informal exchange of ideas related to the foundation for the next academic year's application period for colleagues dealing with international scholarship programs.

The opening ceremony of the academic year 2020/2021 took place on 7 September 2020 in the Reformed Church „Hálaadás” in Budapest, amidst safety regulations related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The official inauguration of the brand new building of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences took place on 1 September 2020.

Over 140 students from 35 countries started the semester at Károli this September.

The Faculty of Teacher Training opened its new Budapest campus on 9 September. The fully renovated school building is located only a few minutes away from the campus of our Faculty of Law. About 1000 students have started their academic year at the new campus building. The development was realised in close cooperation with the municipal government of the 4th District of Budapest.

The opening ceremony of the new academic year took on 9 September 2019, during which the new Rector of the university, Prof. Dr. József Zsengellér was inaugurated.
