Who is a Buddy?

A Buddy is a local student of KRE who voluntarily helps incoming students from all over the world. S/he knows the city and the university well, open for foreign cultures and ready to help you during your time in Hungary. The Buddy will be your first and personal contact point, you can turn to them with most of your questions.

Why should I get a Buddy?

We know it is hard to get used to a new and foreign culture, university system and to face challenges alone. This is why we established the Buddy system, where young, likeminded students can help each other. Since your Buddy will be Hungarian, you can learn about Hungarian culture at first hand, a Buddy helps you to meet locals and you receive unique and personalized guide throughout your stay, making it even more enjoyable.

Your Buddy will be the one who can help you with administrative tasks such as course registration or in the Immigration Office. They can also help you in reaching professors and show you their favourite place for coffee or their favourite museum.

How does it work?

Students coming for full-cycle studies are assigned a Buddy automatically.
